We develop disruptive technologies to extract plastics and synthetic waste from rivers and oceans.

History
Ichthion is a British-Ecuadorian start-up born out of the laboratories of Imperial College London in 2017. Our company has been awarded for developing high-end technologies and truly scalable solutions to reduce the flow of plastics into the world’s oceans, proposing energy-generative systems that uniquely can be installed in rivers, coastal areas, and the oceans to collect micro and macro plastics through filtration and to generate data. In 2019, Ichthion opened offices in Ecuador to start the installation and operation of the Azure system in the Portoviejo River to prevent plastic pollution from reaching the Galapagos Islands.
Mission
We work with the desire to protect and restore ocean ecosystems, to create a future where marine life can flourish and its resources can continue to be responsibly harnessed for generations to come.
Vision
To be a leading organization in inventing and implementing sustainable technologies that allow capturing suspended solids and generating data; in rivers, coastal areas, and the high seas, aligned with the principles of Circular Economy, innovation, and environmental management.
